"Hazel Johnson and Sunny" is a 9 x 12" gouache watercolor painting on acid free paper. There is a beauty that comes out in people and Hazel Johnson is one of those whose beauty shines through her face, humor and incredible music. Here she is with one of her many horses, Sunny. I really enjoyed painting this picture as I do enjoy her company and her music. Hazel spent many years on the road as a back-up musician with June Carter and Johnny Cash. Retired now, she lives quietly in KY with her horses.

This painting is part of the artist's Kentucky Series, which represents not only the scenes and landscapes of Central Kentucky, but the people and so we put it in our people series also. This painting is matted and framed in a gold colored frame and it's outside measurements are 13" x 17".

"The Brothers" is a  9 x 12 " soft pastel work done as a gift for Eric B's birthday on Nov. 15, 2005. He is the little boy in the top center. Now he is in his 2nd year of college. "The Way We Were in '75" is this artist's first attempt to work in soft pastels. Done with Prismcolors portrait soft pastels on Canson mi-Teintes 75 pound 9 x 12"paper. Recently found was a small photo of Arlene and Carl taken in 1975 at "Weather Hill" on White Hill in Hopkinton, NY.  Arlene Wright-Correll used it as the basis for this portrait of them.  Not for Sale
