Who's Who in Arts and Crafts©
by Arlene Wright-Correll
This week’s artist is Elin Pendleton, AAEA, WAOW, EAG
Elin Pendleton is not only a fine oil & acrylic painter; she is an incredible woman who teaches workshops all over the country.
In 2004 (from April 23-29) Elin AAEA was Artist in Residence Program at the Kentucky Horse Park.
She loves painting the old west, horses, mules and it seems to include anything that has 4 legs such as dogs and farm animals.
Not only limited to animals Elin has been painting the human form for over thirty years, beginning with life drawing back in the late 60s. This body of work includes paintings from live models and also from personal reference material.
Further research brought to light the fact that Elin is an incredible still life painter and her paintings are a joy to see. Her still life paintings cover a myriad of places from California to the Greek Islands.
Elin currently has 3 painting lessons DVDs available. You can click here to see her workshop schedules for 2008.
"Horses in Acrylics" by Elin Pendleton, her newest book is available here.
Then Elin goes one step further and offers FREE on-line painting lessons to students here.
