About Misha Lenn
Misha Lenn is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning artist who has developed a very distinctive style of watercolor painting. This is his second painting commemorating the world's greatest dog show.
Misha develped a very distinctive style of watercolors. His favorite motifs were still lifes and city scenes. His dazzling watercolors are permeated by Impressionism and influenced by the complex patterns of Klimt, the elegance and grace of Degas, the romantic verve of Renoir, technical command of Monet and the vibrant energy of Toulouse Lautrec.
Misha received his Masters degree from the prestigious Academy of Art and Design in St. Petersburg, Russia, and moved to Boston 14 years ago. Misha has had numerous solo exhibitions and his watercolor paintings can be found in private and museum collections in the United States, Russia, Germany, Canada, France, Sweden, Spain, Israel and Monaco.
He has won numerous awards for his logo designs and watercolors. His prestigious list of clients includes Calvin Klein, DKNY, Harvard University, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Ballet, New York Time Magazine, Design Times Magazine, Women's Wear Daily, Bloomingdales, Sony, Prudential, MIT and Godiva Chocolatier. HIs portfolio also includes book illustrations literature (75 illustrations of novels of John Steinbeck) and cover spreads for major publishers, such as Houghton Mifflin and Heinle and Heinle.
He has received numerous awards in excellence, logo design and national competions: American Graphic Design Award, 1995; Regional PRINT Magazine, 1995; Best of Business Card Design, 1996; Letterhead and Logo Design, 1997; and, Watercolor Expressions, 1999.
Misha is active in supporting a variety of charitable causes and often donates his works for fundraising auctions and events, including a private exhibition in New York to raise money for the families of victims of the 9/11 tragedy.
