| Beginner's Introduction to Stained Glass
Avalon Stained Glass School Offers a 3 week Large Stained Glass Panel Workshop BEGINNER’S INTRODUCTION TO STAINED GLASS This workshop includes all instruction*, glass, materials, and choice of one of 12 pre-selected patterns (round, rectangular, octagon, or square), use of our studio, and use of our tools. You just bring yourself and go home with a beautiful piece of stained glass approximately 2 ft. x 2 ft. depending on the pattern you choose. * Workshop includes 18 hours of instruction and studio time. (3 hours per session, for 6 sessions, over a total period of 3 consecutive weeks.) We can accomodate your time during our open hours and we also offer a Wednesday evening class.From the beginning, you'll be taught how to work in the copper foil method. You'll be introduced to a number of different ways to cut glass, to assemble projects, and to solder. Instead of just learning the way we do it, you'll be free to select the method that best suits your own needs and preferences. It is unnecessary to bring your own tools, but to experiment with the many alternatives available. When you do decide to buy your own, it'll be after having tested and compared as many as possible.
