Arlene says, "What we can't grow in our zone 6, we get from our certified organic supplier who tests every botanical (except for Certified Organic) for pesticide residue who will not sell us one herb or spice with any trace of pesticide residue. Also any and all the botanicals we may buy from them are free of irradiation, ozone, sulfur, gas and chemical treatment. This type of botanical is unsafe for your body and mind. Our supplier also tests for extraneous matter, botanical identity, e Coli, Coliform, total bacteria, pH, Salmonella, yeast and mold, filth, moisture content, and much, much more. This provides you and us with the freshest and most lively material available. When you buy our herbs and spice blends you can rest assured that they will be blended, and packaged within 24 business hours of receipt of your funds. Our herbs and spices are both freshly picked and immediately dried, or natuarally air dried within a few months of their harvest. All herbs and spices have a relatively fixed shelf life, and "The Little Old Lady in the Flowered Hat" recommends that you only purchase what you will use within a short period of time.
