ROSES-The Queen of flowers

The rose is the oldest domesticated flower known; fossilized imprints found in Florissant, Colorado, indicate that roses existed around 40 million years ago. Throughout out history roses have been symbols of love beauty, war and politics.

Roses inspire passion even in disagreement. Modern roses come in all sizes, shapes and colors. Stem lengths and blooming habits also differ for each variety. Rose varieties can be vastly different in both appearance and performance.

They will open at different rates and in different ways. Some will open widely (such as Konfetti, Orange Unique and Black Magic) while others will just unfurl (such as Ilio, Gypsy Curiosa and Nicole).

Roses of different colours represent different emotions.

Red rose: Love; I love you

Pink rose: Perfect happiness

Deep pink rose: Thank you

Light pink rose: Admiration

Dark crimson rose: Mourning

White rose: Innocence and purity

White with red roses : Unity

Yellow rose: Friendship

Even the way the Roses are presented symbolize different moods and carry different messages.

Christmas rose: Tranquilize my anxiety; anxiety
