Introduction to China Painting

You don’t need to be an outstanding artist to be able to create unique designs, you just need to enjoy painting or want to learn this simple art of creating pictures and designs on porcelain, china or ceramic tiles.

As a beginner you will find the basics of china painting: designs, colors, mediums and every thing will be explained so that your first piece is a success. China painting is amazingly simple as one does not need to know how to draw. We teach you how to work with transfer patterns and the skill of applying China paint and kiln firing.

If you are already into china painting, you will find that this workshop will allow you to share your ideas and expertise with others.

We offer 3 hour lessons at times convenient for your busy schedule at the low price of $25.00 per session with you using your own paints and brushes or $35.00 per session using our paints, brushes. You choose the item you wish to paint (tea set, tile, dish, vase, cake stand or whatever) and pay for it when you choose it as prices vary from $3.00 up.

Once you finish with your 3 hour session we will fire your piece during the evening and it will be ready for you to continue when you return to your next 3 hour session.

This year we offer two 5 day Vacation workshop where you can work for 3 hours each morning and then go sight seeing in the afternoon or you can paint all day and we fire at night.  You may paint on as many pieces as you wish.  The workshop fee is $595.00 for non-staying and $795.00 for staying.  It includes your accomdations, all breakfasts, lunches,  materials, paints and instruction.  Dinner is on your own.Aug. 22 to 27, 2011  and Oct. 10 to 15, 2011

Directions to studio: from Munfordville Courthouse go North on 357 2 miles, Right onto 2185 for 3.3 miles, Right onto Dave Wintsch Rd. and we are the 1st driveway on the left. Come up the driveway and we are the first building on the left.
