Arlene's Helpful Hints on Just About Anything really does come from having a "Been There-Done That" Philosophy.  I was a widow at 22 years of age with a child under 2 years old and another on the way.  We have had our house struck by lightening and blown out of the ground, I have survived breast cancer and a stroke and am still going strong.

During my 72 years on this planet I have been up and down in the financial world several times and I have spent 43 years as a very successful real estate consultant.  During that time I raised (with the help of good old Carl) 5 great kids and we now have 8 pretty neat grandchildren. We have rehabbed 17 historical homes, managed over 435 properties, owned a bed and breakfast, campgrounds, restaurant, hostels, an appliance repair business, a building company, a land development company, several other small businesses and lord knows what else, including walking on a hot bed of coals.

Between us, Carl and I have about 150 years of real "trial and terror" life experiences, both wonderful and some horrible.  So, before we take off for the "cosmic board of directors" we are going to share what we know with you.
