Avalon Stained Glass School 

 offers their

Art for Youth Program

to students 12 to 18 years old.

This 3 hour course is designed to introduce young students to the creative and technical art of creating stained glass.

During the 3 hours they learn all 6 steps of creating a stained glass spider as their first project. Their second project is to design and create a light/fan chain pull.

This workshop is offered Wednesday evenings from 5 pm to 8 pm and Saturday from 9 am to noon. During summer sessions this workshop is also offered from 9 am to noon or 1 pm to 4 pm Tuesday thru Friday.

The student learns creativity, how to create design, how to cut class, grind glass, foil the glass, solder the glass and apply the finishing touches to their creative art piece.

They also learn self esteem through the satisfaction of learning a new art form plus opening a new creative art venue for them to pursue should they wish to go forward to larger projects.

Students are taught this workshop by Master Stained Glass Artist Carl Correll whose glass creations hang in many homes throughout the United States and who has successfully been teaching students how to create heirloom pieces of stained glass using the foil method.

The price of this workshop is $49.00 and includes the use of our tools, all supplies, and full instruction.

Workshops are limited to 4 students so the master can give each student his full, undivided attention during the time they are learning.
