Art isn’t just about teaching someone to paint or draw, create stained glass or fused glass art. It isn’t about teaching someone how to dance, write or play a musical instrument. It is really about simulating creativity and that is what we do at Avalon Stained Glass School & Creativity Center.
Avalon Stained Glass School & Creativity Center offers a “budget Friendly” Vacation STAINED GLASS workshop.
2011 3 DAY STAINED GLASS WORKSHOP is special as the dates are flexible as this workshop is designed for your convenience.
If you ever wanted to learn how to create stained glass glass , then Avalon Stained Glass School & Activity Center is the place for you. We offer a 3 DAY seminar to introduce and guide you through a world of cold glass and you will create either a small 12″ x 12″ stained glass panel or a 10″ x 8″ stained glass picture frame. (Sizes are approximate depending on the pattern you choose and we have many patterns to choose from.
STAINED GLASS GLASS is easy to learn. You do not have to be an artist; you only need to be “good with your hands” and have “an eye for detail”. A good sense of humor and a little patience will get you through this course just fine. This 3 day workshop is offered at different times of the month and we recommend you call (270) 524 9567 to find a date that is convenient for your busy schedule
About our Master award winning International instructor, Carl Correll.who will teach you and guide you though the course. His goal is for you to learn how to create STAINED GLASS easily and to have as much fun as possible while you are doing it.
Most studios teach glass crafting by having you make a little sun catcher and then sell you expensive tools and equipment to go on to larger projects. Very little time and effort is spent on skill or technique or trade secrets. This usually causes enthusiastic beginners to “burn out” in frustration.
SKILL AND TECHNIQUE AND TRADE SECRETS, once learned, will allow you to develop your own style. You will complete your project and this program with confidence to continue at home.
INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED level students may work with the instructor to custom-tailor their training program or to enjoy a leisure vacation workshop in the heart of South Central Kentucky where you will be inspired by our rural landscapes.
OUR 3 DAY VACTION STAINED GLASS WORKSHOP begins on Tuesday and continues for a total of 3 days straight from 9 am to 5 pm CT or it can be done in 3 hour increments as per your busy schedule permits any time during our business hours. For those who come in 3 hour increments we will do our best to accommodate you on any evening from 5 to 9 in the event we are not filled up.
CLASS SIZE is strictly limited to no more than 4 students to provide as much one-on-one training as possible.
YOUR WORKSHOP FEE INCLUDES all instruction, all material, and you will be able to take your stained glass art home with you when you leave. No previous experience needed. You will learn how to work with a pattern, cut glass, grind glass, work the copper foil method, learn how to solder correctly and learn how to finish your piece off with etching your own signature and date thus creating a family heirloom to treasure AND WE THINK THIS WILL BE ONE OF THE BEST VACATIONS OR WORKSHOPS YOU EVER HAD!
